Holy week 2012 begins on Palm Sunday, April 1st. Praise Lutheran will remember and celebrate our Savior’s entry to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday (April 1st) with a grand festival of hosannas to the Lord during a Palm Procession. It will also be our first week with our new “Virtual Organist” which is like having an excellent LCMS organist right at our bench actually playing our organ. It sounds glorious. We also have a new processional cross we dedicated two Sundays ago that we’ll use to honor Christ’s presence while we wave our palm branches. Please note all services times for Holy Week below:

Sunday, April 1:      Palm Sunday, 10:30 am, with Bible Studies for all ages at 9:15 am
Thursday, April 5:   Holy Thursday, 7:00 pm Divine Service with Stripping of the Altar
Friday, April 6:        Good Friday, 1:00 pm Tenebrae Vespers with Closing of the Tomb
Friday, April 6:        Good Friday, 7:00 pm Tenebrae Vespers with Closing of the Tomb
Sunday, April 8:      Easter Sunday (see schedule below)

  • 8:30 am Easter Breakfast
  • 9:15 Bible Class and Sunday School for everyone (youth egg hunt)
  • 10:30 Easter Festival Service (Bring an Easter Lily)
