Missions at Praise Lutheran Church

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10

The Lord Jesus calls us to love others. Our church responds in part by contributing to our synod, our seminaries, to Lutheran Heritage Foundation, to the work and support of national and foreign missionaries, to a local food bank, to a pregnancy resource center, and to an organization that assists families who foster children in our community.

Some of the wonderful organizations we’re privileged to support and work with include:

Members of Praise Lutheran collect money in baby bottles to help support the mission of the Pregnancy Resource Center of Blount County, Tennessee
We sponsor back-to-school backpacks, a pool party, and Christmas gifts for foster, kinship and adoptive families via the Blount County Foster Parent Association.
We hold an annual movie night and dessert auction for the Community Food Connection of Blount County to buy Thanksgiving meals for families in need.
A group led by a member of our church called Keep ’em in Stitches knits hats for firemen and women to hand out to kids in need around Blount County.
Members of Praise financially support the Lutheran Heritage Foundation, which translates, publishes, distributes and introduces books that are Bible-based, Christ-centered and Reformation-driven around the world.
Disasters around the world require financial and physical resources as well as the Gospel message and many prayers. We are blessed to support the work of LCMS World Relief and Human Care, particularly Disaster Response.
Speaking for the vulnerable and defenseless, and influencing society to do the same, upholds the God-given value of human life. We both give and receive support from Lutherans for Life in this regard.
Our congregation and members support international and national missionaries of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod who share the Gospel around the world.
